Lifeguards deployed at Hikkaduwa beach rescued a Russian national from drowning around 1.37pm today (10th July).
Duty lifeguards WAS Jayatissa and WMN Danapala on sighting a foreigner dragging away towards deep seas due to strong currents, reacted promptly and rescued Mr. Anrey Mareen (45).
He praised the Coast Guard lifeguards for saving his life
