Captain (ND) YR Serasinghe assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Off Shore Patrol Vessel, SLCGS Suraksha today, 28th December 2019.
The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain (ND) HRFM Tissera officially handed over the duties to his successor at a brief ceremony held at the Colombo harbour. The occasion was also attended by the Deputy Director General – Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Commodore YMGB Jayathilaka. The proceedings of the formal ceremony came to a close following an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
