The Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Hikkaduwa rescued a 4 years old boy and 41 years old lady from Russia, during a successful rescue attempt on 09th March 2022 whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Hikkaduwa beach.
So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1684 invaluable lives including 731 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
