Coast Guard personnel attached to the Coast Guard Station Beruwala and Police together have arrested a person who was in possession of Heroin in the Beruwala Fishery Harbour on 12th July 2022.
At the time of the arrest, the Coast Guard personnel found 440 mg of Heroin (17 small packets) and Rs. 12000.00 in the suspect's possession. The 42-year-old suspect, a resident of Payagala area, is considered a drug dealer to fishermen in that area. Arrested suspect and apprehended Heroin and Money handed over to the Police Station, Beruwala for further investigations/ Legal action.
