Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake, Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Navy made a official courtesy call on President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Ranil Wickremesinghe at the President's Office on 19th August 2022.
During the formal visit, Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake extended his best wishes to the His Excellency Ranil Wickremesinghe, the 8th Executive President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. A cordial discussion was held between the President and the Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and assured the commitment and dedicated deployment of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard for ensuring the security, safety and protection of the marine environment of the Maritime Zones of Sri Lanka to uphold the national security, national economy and national integrity.
In accordance with the customs and traditions, the Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard presented a memento to H.E. the President during the occasion.
