Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake bid farewell to Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 10th October 2022, serving two years tenure as the Director General to Sri Lanka Coast Guard. Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake was appointed as the 6th Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard with effect from 01st October 2020 and renders an invaluable service to the SLCG and initiated number of projects to enhance the standard of the SLCG.
A charm function with all ceremonials in highest standard were arranged for bid farewell to outgoing Director General at Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters Mirissa. The Outgoing Director General was accorded with a guard of honour. Deputy Director General of Coast Guard, Heads of Departments, Commanding Officers and other officers grace the event.
Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana appointed to oversee duties as the 07th Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard with effect from 10th October 2022.
