A Drone training exercise in Mirissa was conducted in parallel with the operation DISI RELA - II
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) in collaboration with the Australian Border Force (ABF) is scheduled to be conducted the second joint exercise under Operation 'DISI RELA II', from 2nd June to 6th June 2025, covering several areas of marine security.
Signifying a collaborative effort to counter maritime security threats including human smuggling, drug trafficking, and other maritime crimes. This operation involves information sharing and the use of drone technology for coastal surveillance, which is expected to enhance the efficiency of maritime monitoring.
Additionally, alongside this DISI RELA II, a drone training exercise for fifteen (15) Coast Guard officers were enrolled today (May 20, 2025) at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters in Mirissa by Inspector Baden West and Supervisor David MacCulloch of the Australian Border Force. This training session is scheduled to continue until May 23, 2025.
Operation DISI RELA II ඒකාබද්ධ අභ්‍යාසයට සමගාමිව ඩ්‍රෝන යානා පුහුණු අභ්‍යාසය මිරිස්සේදී
ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෙරල ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ඔස්ට්‍රේලියනු දේශ සිමා බලකාය හා එක්ව සංවිධානය කරන ලද Operation DISI RELA II ඒකාබද්ධ පුහුණු අභ්‍යාසයේ දෙවන අධියර 2025 ජුනි මස 02 වන දින සිට 2025 ජුනි මස 06 වන දින දක්වා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විවිධ ප්‍රදේශ ආවරණය වන පරිදී පැවත් වීමට කටයුතු සංවිධානය කර ඇත.
නීති විරෝධී සංක්‍රමණ , මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාවාරම වැනි මුහුදු මාර්ග ඔස්සේ සිදුකරණ විවිධ අපරාධ මැඩපැවැත්වීමේ අරමුණෙන් දිවයින තුල ඒ සදහා ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පාර්ශවකරුවන් සදහා අවශ්‍ය ප්‍රයෝගික උපාය උපක්‍රම පිළිබද දැනුම යාවත්කාලින කිරීම නවීන තාක්ෂණික උපකරණ භාවිතය හා පුහුණු කිරීම වෙරල නිරීක්ෂණය සහ ගැඹුරු මුහුදු ආවේක්ෂණය තුලින් මෙහෙයුම් කාර්යක්ෂමතාවය වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම මෙමගින් අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.
තවද මෙම DISI RELA II පුහුණු සැසියට සමගාමිව ඔස්ට්‍රේලියානු දේශ සීමා බලකායට අයත් Supervisor David MacCulloch හා Inspector Baden West විසින් වෙරළාරක්ෂක පුද්ගලයින් පහළොස් දෙනෙකු (15) සදහා ඩ්‍රෝන යානා පුහුණු අභ්‍යාසයක් මිරිස්ස ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තු මුලස්ථානයේදී අද දින (2025 මැයි 20 ) දින ආරම්භ කල අතර මෙම පුහුණු සැසිය 2025 මැයි මස 23 වන දින දක්වා පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව ඇත.
