Commodore Prasad Jayasinghe officially took over duties as the new Deputy Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) today (08thAugust 2025) in a formal ceremony held at the SLCG Headquarters in Mirissa.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Deputy Director General, Commodore Manoj Leelarathna, handed over responsibilities to Commodore Jayasinghe at his office.
Commodore Leelarathna, who had served in the position until now, was accorded a traditional farewell by the SLCG in recognition of his remarkable service.
කොමදෝරු ප්රසාද් ජයසිංහ අද දින සිට (2025 අගෝස්තු මස 08) ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නියෝජ්ය අධ්යක්ෂක ජෙනරාල් ලෙස නිල වශයෙන් රාජකාරි කටයුතු ආරම්භ කිරිම මිරිස්ස ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තු මුලස්ථානයේදි සිදු කෙරුනු අතර මේ දක්වා එම ධුරයේ රාජකාරි කටයුතු සිදු කල කොමදෝරු මනෝජ් ලීලාරත්න විසින් වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නියෝජ්ය අධ්යක්ෂක ජෙනරාල් ධුරයේහි රාජකාරි නිසි ලෙස කොමදෝරු ප්රසාද් ජයසිංහ වෙත භාර දිම සිදු කෙරිණි.
තවද,රාජකාරි භාරදිමෙන් අනතුරුව කොමදෝරු මනෝජ් ලීලාරත්න වෙත වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තු මුලස්ථානය වෙතින් සම්ප්රදායානුකූලව සමු දීම සිදු කෙරිණි.
