AUSTRALIAN GOVERNOR-GENERAL VISITS MIRISSA FISHERIES HARBOUR
The Honorable Samantha Mostyn, Governor-General of Australia, visited the Mirissa Fisheries Harbour on 09th August 2025. During the visit, HE inspected a Stabicraft vessel donated by the Australian Government on 02nd June 2025, to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, aimed at enhancing the Sri Lanka Coast Guard operational efficiency.
The event was attended by members of the Australian Border Force, along with the Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rajapriya Serasinghe, and other senior officials. To mark the occasion, both parties exchanged mementos, symbolizing the strong cooperation between the two nations in maritime safety and security.

ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු ආණ්ඩුකාර ජෙනරාල් අතිගරු Samantha Mostyn මහත්මිය 2025 අගෝස්තු මස 09 වන දින මිරිස්ස ධීවර වරායේ නවතා ඇති ඔස්ට්‍රේලියානු රජය විසින් 2025 ජුනි මස 02 වන දින වෙරළ ආරක්‍ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ මෙහෙයුම් කාර්‍යක්‍ෂමතාවය වැඩි දියුණු කිරිමේ අරමුණින් ශ්‍රි ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්‍ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙත පරිත්‍යාග කරන ලද Stabicraft නිරික්‍ෂණයට එක් විය.
තවද, මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු දේශසීමා බළකායේ සාමාජිකයන් සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්‍ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අධ්‍යක්‍ෂ ජෙනරාල් රියර් අද්මිරාල් රාජප්‍රිය සේරසිංහ ඇතුළු ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරීන් සහභාගී වු අතර, මෙම අවස්ථාව සනිටුහන් කරමින් දෙපාර්ශවය අතර සමරු තිළිණ හුවමාරුවක්ද සිදු කෙරිණි.
