SLCG APPRECIATES PERSONNEL INVOLVED IN MAJOR DRUG APPREHENSION OFF TANGALLE.

The Director General overseeing the duties of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG), Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph praised the commendable efforts of Coast Guard personnel who were directly involved in the successful apprehension of a large consignment of drugs off the Tangalle sea area recently.

The appreciation ceremony was held at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters, where the Director General extended his gratitude to CG personnel for their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication displayed during the operation.

Addressing the gathering, the Director General emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness, community engagement, and joint cooperation with other maritime law enforcement agencies to safeguard Sri Lanka’s maritime domain.

The event concluded with the presentation of letters of commendation for Coast Guard personnel involved in the operation in recognition of their contribution towards eradicating drug trafficking.
