FOREIGNER RESCUED FROM DROWNING
A 16 year old Russion national was rescued by lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 01st November 2025 off Mirissa beach. Lifesavers deployed by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard promptly responded and managed to rescue the foreigner.
Since the establishment of lifesaving duties by the Coast Guard in 2009, over 2500 lives have been saved including 1141 foreigners as of today.
මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරයේ ගිලෙමින් සිටි විදේශිය කාන්තාවක් (01) වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් බේරා ගනී
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ජිවිතාරක්ෂක නිළධාරීන් විසින් 2025 නොවැම්බර් මස 01 වන දින මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරයේ පිහිනීමට ගොස් දියවැලකට හසුවී දියේ ගසාගෙන යමින් සිටි වයස අවුරුදු 16 ක පමණ වන රුසියානු ජාතික කාන්තාවක් කඩිනමින් බේරාගෙන නිරුපද්රිතව ගොඩබිමට රැගෙන ඒමට කටයුතු කරන ලදි.
තවද, 2009 වර්ෂයේ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පිහිටුවීමෙන් අනතුරුව අද දක්වා ජිවිත 2500ට අධික ප්රමාණයක් බේරාගැනීමට කටයුතු කර ඇති අතර, ඉන් 1141 ක් විදේශිකයන් වේ.
