COAST GUARD SEIZES NARCOTICS STOCK VALUE OVER RS.703 MILLION
Sri Lanka Coast Guard in collaboration with Crime Division Peliyagoda (Western Province, North) conducted a special search operation off Benthara seas and arrested 43 kilograms and 968 grams of crystal methamphetamine on 18th November 2025.
Based on intelligence received by the Police Department, the operation was carried out by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard deploying Inshore Patrol Craft. The seized stock of narcotics is handed over to the crime division Peliyagoda for further investigation and legal proceedings.

ශ්රි ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, පෑලියගොඩ අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාශය (බස්නාහිර, උතුර) හා එක්ව 2025 නොවැම්බර් මස 18 වන දින බෙන්තර වෙරළ තීරයේ සහ ඔබ්බෙන් වූ මුහුදේ සිදුකල විශේෂ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදි අයිස් මත්ද්රව්ය කිලෝග්රෑම් 43යි ග්රෑම් 968ක ප්රමාණයක් වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ භාරයට ගැනිමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
පොලිස් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ලද විශේෂ තොරතුරකට අනුව ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට අයත් වෙරළ බඩ මුර යාත්රා යොදාගනිමින් සිදුකල මෙම විශේෂ මෙහෙයුමේදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් මත්ද්රව්ය තොගය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශනය සහ ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා පෑලියගොඩ අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාශය වෙත භාරදීමට කටයුතු කරන ලදි.
