SRI LANKA COAST GUARD COMMEMORATES FALLEN WAR HEROES

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) commemorated the nation’s fallen war heroes, who selflessly sacrificed their lives to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the motherland, during a solemn ceremony held on 16 November 2025. The event took place at the SLCG Headquarters and was held under the patronage of the Acting Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph.

The commemoration ceremony was conducted with dignity, paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by the brave men and women in uniform.

In parallel with the main event at Headquarters, personnel representing the Sri Lanka Coast Guard ‘Waruna’, Regional Directorates, and ships/craft also participated in honoring the memory of the fallen heroes.
