MARRIOTT RESORT & SPA CONDUCTED CHEF TRAINING TO COAST GUARD
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard, in collaboration with Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, conducted a Culinary Art Chef Training Program on 20th November 2025 at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters, Mirissa, to enhance the skills and professionalism of Coast Guard Chef personnel.
Internationally recognized culinary professionals led theory and practical sessions, sharing industry insights and hands-on techniques emphasizing modern cooking methods, food presentation, hygiene standards and kitchen management.
The initiative reflects the Sri Lanka Coast Guard’s commitment to continuous training and capacity building while strengthening partnerships with leading international institutions. It also underscores the organization’s dedication to adapting to dynamic global practices to enrich service quality and professional development.
The Deputy Director General of the Coast Guard, together with the Director (Logistics), officers and sailors of the Supply Division, participated in this event.

ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa ආයතනය සමඟ ඒකාබද්ධව වෘත්තීමය නිපුණත්වය ඔප් නැංවීමේ අරමුණ පෙරදැරිව එක් දින සූපවේදී පුහුණු වැඩමුළුවක් 2025 නොවැම්බර් මස 20 වන දින ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක මූලස්ථානයේදී සාර්ථකව පවත්වන ලදී.
හෝටල් ක්ෂේත්රයේ අන්තර්ජාතික පලපුරුද්ද ලත් අති දක්ෂ සූපවේදීන්ගේ දායකත්වයෙන් සංවිධානය කරන ලද මෙම වැඩමුළුව සූපවේදී ක්ෂේත්රයේ අන්තර්ජාතික පිලිවෙත්, නවීන ක්රමවේදයන්, ආහාර පිළිබඳ සෞඛ්ය නියාමනයන් හා ආහාර පිළිගැන්වීමේ ක්රමවේදයන් ආවරණය වන පරිදි න්යාය හා ප්රායෝගික සැසි වලින් සමන්විත වන ලදී.
ප්රමුඛ පෙලේ අන්තර්ජාතික ආයතන හා සම්බන්ධව අඛණ්ඩ පුහුණුව මගින් වෙනස් වන ගෝලීය භාවිතයන්ට අනුවර්ථනය වෙමින් සේවා ගුණාත්මක භාවය සහ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක පුද්ගලයන්ගේ වෘත්තීය සංවර්ධන වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමට ශ්රීලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිරන්තර ප්රයත්නය මෙමගින් මනාව පිළිඹිබු වේ.
මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නියෝජ්ය අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල්, අධ්යක්ෂ (සැපයුම් හා සේවා) ඇතුළු සැපයුම් අංශයේ නිලධාරීන් හා සෙසු නිලයන් සහභාගීවිය.
