SRI LANKA COAST GUARD EXHIBITS OIL SPILL RESPONSE AND LIFE-SAVING CAPABILITIES AT THE AQUA PLANET SRI LANKA – INTERNATIONAL EXPO 2025
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) participated in the Aqua Planet Sri Lanka – International Expo 2025 exhibition, a premier national event celebrating ocean innovation, marine biodiversity and sustainable aquatic practices. The exhibition was held from 21st to 23rd November 2025 at the iconic Lotus Tower premises, Colombo. The above exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources to celebrate the International Fisheries Day.
As a key stakeholder in safeguarding Sri Lanka’s maritime environment and ensuring safety, the SLCG featured a dedicated stall showcasing oil spill response equipment, life-saving gears and maritime emergency response capabilities. Visitors gained firsthand understanding into the specialized tools and procedures used by the Coast Guard to protect ocean resources.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළාරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව Aqua Planet Sri Lanka – International Expo 2025 ප්රදර්ශණයේදී තෙල් කාන්දු ප්රතිචාර දැක්වීම සහ ජීවිතාරක්ෂක හැකියාවන් ප්රදර්ශණය කරයි
සාගර නවෝත්පාදනය, සමුද්ර ජෛව විවිධත්වය සහ තිරසාර ජලජ පිළිවෙත් සමරන ප්රමුඛතම ජාතික ප්රදර්ශණයක් වන ‘Aqua Planet Sri Lanka – International Expo 2025’ ප්රදර්ශණයට ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළාරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහභාගී විය. මෙම ප්රදර්ශණය 2025 නොවැම්බර් 21 සිට 23 දක්වා කොළඹ නෙළුම් කුළුණ පරිශ්රයේදී පැවැත්විණි. ජාත්යන්තර ධීවර දිනය නිමිත්තෙන් ධීවර, ජලජ හා සාගර සම්පත් අමාත්යාංශය විසින් මෙම වැඩසටහන සංවිධානය කරන ලදී.
ශ්රී ලංකාවේ සමුද්රීය පරිසරය ආරක්ෂා කිරීමේ සහ ආරක්ෂාව සහතික කිරීමේ ප්රධාන කොටස්කරුවෙකු ලෙස ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළාරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ප්රදර්ශණයේදි තෙල් කාන්දුවීම් සඳහා ප්රතිචාර දැක්වීමට භාවිත කරන උපකරණ, ජීවිතාරක්ෂක ආම්පන්න සහ සමුද්රීය හදිසි ප්රතිචාර දැක්විමේ හැකියාවන් ප්රදර්ශණය කරන ප්රදර්ශණ කුටියක් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී. සමුද්ර දූෂණය අවම කිරීම සහ සාගර සම්පත් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම සඳහා වෙරළාරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් භාවිතා කරන විශේෂිත මෙවලම් සහ ක්රියා පටිපාටි පිළිබඳව අමුත්තන්ට සෘජුවම අවබෝධයක් ලබා ගැනීමට හැකි විය.
