During a special search operation conducted in Thissamaharama area with the assistance of the Police, Coast Guard personnel arrested a person with 03 kilograms and 536 grams of cannabis, and 5054 Madana modaka on 02nd December 2025.
The estimated street value of the seized narcotics exceeds Rs.1.5 million.
Subsequently, the seized narcotics, and arrested person were handed over to the Thissamaharama Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව තිස්සමහාරාම පොලීසිය හා එක්ව 2025 දෙසැම්බර් මස 02 වන දින තිස්සමහාරාම ප්රදේශයේ සිදුකල විශේෂ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදී අලෙවි කිරීම සඳහා සූදානම්කර නිවසක් තුල සඟවා තිබූ දේශීය කංසා කිලෝ 03 ග්රෑම් 536ක් සහ මදනමෝදක 5,054ක් සමඟ සැකකරුවෙක් (01) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම මෙහෙයුම මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද මත්ද්රව්ය තොගවල දළ වීථි වටිනාකම රුපියල් මිලියන 1.5 කට අධික වෙතැයි විශ්වාස කෙරේ.
තවද, අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද සැකකරු සහ මත් ද්රව්ය තොගය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශණය හා ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා තිස්සමහාරාමය පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දිමට කටයුතු කරන ලදි.
