SRI LANKA COAST GUARD SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS TREE PLANTING PROGRAMME

With the objective of supporting the national aspirations of building an environmentally friendly Sri Lanka, the Southern Region of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard successfully conducted another tree planting programme along the southern coastline of Sri Lanka on 03 December 2025. This event was carried out under the guidance and directives of the Acting Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph, as part of the ongoing series of tree-planting initiatives implemented by the Coast Guard.

Furthermore, with the aim of enhancing long-term environmental sustainability, Mudilla trees were planted during the programme. Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel, and foreign nationals, actively participated in the event.
