FINAL OF THE COAST GUARD PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION - 2025 TO BE HELD ON 12^TH DECEMBER 2025

The Public speaking competition – 2025, organized for the first time by the Training Directorate of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, was successfully concluded on 12^th December 2025 at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters in Mirissa.

With the objective of enhancing the oratorical skills and leadership qualities of Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel, under the guidance and direction of the Acting Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph, the Training Directorate of the Coast Guard organized this public speaking competition for the first time under two categories for the Officers and Other rates. The final competition for the Other rates category was held on 12^th December 2025 at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Mirissa, under the patronage of the Deputy Director General, Commodore Prasad Jayasinghe.

Furthermore, seven (07) contestants representing various institutions, ships, and craft of the Coast Guard competed in this final round. A large number of senior and junior officers, as well as other rates of the Coast Guard, were present to witness the event.
