The Sri Lanka Coast Guard, with the assistance of the Kirinda Fisheries Inspector, conducted a special search operation at Diyabunwala, Tissamaharama area and arrested two (02) suspects in possession of 86 lobsters in violation of the provisions stipulated in Extraordinary Gazette No. 1123/2 dated 13th March 2000, on 16th December 2025.
The suspects, along with the seized lobsters, were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s Office in Kirinda for further legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, කිරින්ද ධීවර පරීක්ෂක හා එක්ව 2025 දෙසැම්බර් මස 16 වන දින තිස්සමහාරාම, දියබුන්වල ප්රදේශයේ සිදු කළ විශේෂ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදී වර්ෂ 2000 මාර්තු මස 13 වන දිනැති අංක 1123/2 දරන අති විශේෂ ගැසට් පත්රයේ විධිවිධාන උල්ලංඝණය කරමින් නිති විරෝධි ලෙස අල්ලන ලද මුහුදු පොකිරිස්සන් 86ක් සමඟ සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනෙකු (02) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට සමත් විය.
ඒ අනුව, අත් අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනා (02) සහ පොකිරිස්සන් තොගය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා කිරින්ද ධීවර පරීක්ෂක කාර්යාලය වෙත භාර දීම සිදු කෙරිණි.
