The Sri Lanka Coast Guard recognized the achievements of its personnel at the inaugural Coast Guard Public Speaking Competition 2025, with the final event held on 12th December 2025 at the Coast Guard Headquarters. The event was graced by the Acting Director General of the Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph.
In the Public Speaking Competition, Leading Electrical Mate TDWP Piyasiri clinched first place with an impressive and confident presentation, while Writer WMLC Wanninayaka and Leading Marine Engineering DMNP Dissanayaka secured second and third places, respectively.
Furthermore, in recognition of their achievements, letters of appreciation and cash rewards were awarded.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් ප්රථම වරට සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබූ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක කථික තරඟාවලියේ අවසන් තරඟය 2025 දෙසැම්බර් මස 12 වන දින පැවති අතර, එහි ජයග්රාහකයින් ඇගයීමට ලක් කිරීම වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් රියර් අද්මිරාල් රෝහාන් ජෝසෆ් විසින් 2026 පෙබරවාරි 07 වන දින වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තු මූලස්ථානයේදි සිදු කෙරිණ.
ඒ අනුව, වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක කථික තරඟාවලියේදී සුවිශේෂි දක්ෂතා පෙන්නුම් කරමින් පළමු, දෙවන හා තෙවන ස්ථාන පිළිවෙලින් නායක විදුලි කාර්මික ටිඩීඩබ්පී පියසිරි, ලිපිකරු ඩබ්එම්එල්සි වන්නිනායක සහ නායක ඉංජිනේරු කාර්මික ඩීඑම්එන්පී දිසානායක විසින් හිමිකරගත් අතර, ඔවුන් සඳහා සහතික පත්, ඇගයීම් ලිපි හා මුදල් ත්යාග පිරිනැමීම මෙහිදී සිදු කෙරිණි.
