Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph received his letter of appointment as the 09th Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 18thFebruary 2026.
The letter of appointment was presented at the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers by Mr. W.M.D.J. Fernando, Secretary to the Cabinet of Ministers, marking the formal assumption of duties as head of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නවවන (09) අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් ලෙස රියර් අද්මිරාල් රොහාන් ඡෝසෆ් 2026 පෙබරවාරි 18 වන දින නිල වශයෙන් අක්තපත්ර භාර ගන්නා ලදි.
ඊට අදාළ නිල අක්තපත්රය ප්රධානය කැබිනට් අමාත්ය කාර්යාලයේදී එහි ලේකම් ඩබ්එම්ඩීජේ ප්රනාන්දු මහතා අතින් සිදුකෙරුණු අතර, ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ප්රධානී ලෙස නිල වශයෙන් රාජකාරි ආරම්භකරන ලදි.
