Six (06) fishermen were arrested along with 20.8 Kg of dried Shark fish and 600 grams of Shark fins by the Coast Guard personnel during arrival formalities at the Galle fishery harbour on 21st February 2026.
The suspects along with the seized dried shark fish, fins and fishing vessel were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s office, Galle for further legal proceedings.
වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් 2026 පෙබරවාරි මස 21 වන දින ගාල්ල ධීවර වරායේ ධීවර යාත්රා පරික්ෂාවේදි නීතිවිරෝධී මෝර කරවල කිලෝ ග්රෑම් 20.8ක් සහ මෝර වරල් ග්රෑම් 600ක තොගයක් සමඟ ධිවරයින් හය දෙනෙකු (06) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් එම සැකකරුවන්, මෝර කරවල, වරල් තොගය හා ධීවර යාත්රාව ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා ගාල්ල ධීවර පරීක්ෂක කාර්යාලය වෙත භාර දීම සිදු කෙරිණි.
