A Fisherman was arrested along with 195 kg of Shark fish (Alopias Vulpinus) by the Coast Guard during a special search operation conducted at the fishery harbour, Dondra on 05th March 2026.
The fisherman along with the seized Shark fish and Multiday fishing vessel were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s Office in Dondra for further investigations and legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් 2026 මාර්තු මස 05 වන දින උදෑසන දෙවුන්දර ධීවර වරායේ සිදු කල විශේෂ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදී මෙරට බහුදින ධීවර යාත්රාවක් තුල සඟවා තිබූ නීති විරෝධි ලෙස අල්ලන ලද මෝර මසුන් (Alopias Vulpinus) කිලෝ ග්රෑම් 195ක පමණ තොගයක් සමඟ ධීවරයෙක් (01) වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
ඒ අනුව, අත් අඩංගුවට ගත් ධීවරයා, මෝර මත්ස්ය තොගය සහ ධීවර යාත්රාව ඉදිරි විමර්ශන සහ නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා දෙවුන්දර ධීවර පරීක්ෂක කාර්යාලය වෙත භාර දීම සිදු කෙරිණි.
