The Fly Blue Turtle – 2km Open Sea Swimming Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard is set to make waves at the breathtaking shores of Mirissa beach on 14th March 2026, bringing together top open-water swimmers from across the country.
This thrilling men’s and women’s championship promises a test of endurance, strength, and ocean spirit against the stunning turquoise waters of Sri Lanka’s southern coastline.
Further, the event is poised to become a landmark fixture in the nation’s aquatic sports calendar, celebrating resilience, maritime heritage, and the true spirit of open sea competition.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළාරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් සංවිධානය කරනු ලබන FLY BLUE TURTLE කිලෝමීටර් 02 විවෘත මුහුදු පිහිනුම් ශූරතාවලිය, 2026 මාර්තු මස 14 වන දින මිරිස්ස වෙරළ තීරයේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව ඇති අතර, ඒ සඳහා දිවයිනේ දක්ෂ විවෘත ජල පිහිනුම් ක්රීඩක ක්රීඩිකාවන් රැසක් සහභාගී වීමට නියමිතය.
මෙම සිත් ඇදගන්නාසුළු පිරිමි සහ කාන්තා ශූරතාවලිය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ දකුණු වෙරළ තීරයේ පැවැත්වෙන ආකර්ශනීය තරඟාවලියක් වන අතර, ආරක්ෂාව, වෘත්තීයභාවය සහ ක්රීඩා විශිෂ්ටත්වය පෙන්නුම් කෙරෙන මෙම ඉසව්ව මෙරට ජලජ ක්රීඩා දින දර්ශනයේ ප්රධාන සන්ධිස්ථානයක් හිමිකරගනී.
