The Sri Lanka Coast Guard, conducted a special search operation at Balapitiya area and arrested two (02) suspects in possession of 16 lobsters in violation of the provisions stipulated in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 1123/2 dated 13th March 2000, on 08th March 2026.
The suspects, along with the seized lobsters, and diving equipment were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s Office in Balapitiya for further legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, 2026 මාර්තු මස 08 වන දින අලුයම් කාලයේ බලපිටිය ප්රදේශයේ සිදු කළ විශේෂ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදී වර්ෂ 2000 මාර්තු මස 13 වන දිනැති අංක 1123/2 දරන අති විශේෂ ගැසට් පත්රයේ විධිවිධාන උල්ලංඝණය කරමින් නීති විරෝධී ලෙස අල්ලන ලද මුහුදු පොකිරිස්සන් 16ක් සහ ඒ සඳහා භාවිතා කරන ලද කිමිදුම් උපකරණද සමඟ සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනෙකු (02) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට සමත් විය.
ඒ අනුව, අත් අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනා (02) සහ පොකිරිස්සන් තොගය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා බලපිටිය ධීවර පරීක්ෂක කාර්යාලය වෙත භාර දීම සිදු කෙරිණි.
