Based on intelligence received by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, a special search operation was conducted at Thissamaharama in coordination with officers of the Police Special Task Force, Katharagama and arrested a person along with approximately 100 grams of Kerala Cannabis, 22 grams of Kush, 160 grams of local cannabis, 08 kilo grams of venison and a Measuring scale on 20th March 2026.
Arrested suspect along with narcotics, venison and the Measuring scale were handed over to the Thissamaharama Police Station for further legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ලද බුද්ධි තොරතුකට අනුව කතරගම පොලිස් විශේෂකාර්ය බළකායේ නිලධාරීන් හා එක්ව 2026 මාර්තු මස 20 වන දින තිස්සමහාරාම ප්රදේශයේ සිදුකල විශේෂ ඒකාබද්ධ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදි අලෙවි කිරීම සඳහා සූදානම්කර තිබූ කේරළ ගංජා ග්රෑම් 100ක්, කුස් ග්රෑම් 22ක්, දේශිය ගංඡා ග්රෑම් 160ක්, නීති විරෝධී ලෙස දඩයම් කරන ලද ගෝනමස් කිලෝග්රෑම් 08ක් සහ මිනුම් තරාදියක් සමඟ සැකකරුවෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම මෙහෙයුම් මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද සැකකරු, මත් ද්රව්ය තොගය, ගෝන මස් සහ මිනුම් උපකරණය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා තිස්සමහාරාම පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දිමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
