With the objective of supporting the national aspirations of building an environmentally friendly Sri Lanka, the Western Region of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard successfully conducted another beach cleaning and tree planting programme along the Beruwala and Panadura beach area on 28th March 2026.
Furthermore, with the aim of enhancing long-term environmental sustainability, Mudilla trees were also planted during the programme.
පරිසර හිතකාමී ශ්රී ලංකාවක් ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා වන ජාතික අභිලාසයන් මුදුන්පත් කර ගැනීමේ අරමුණින් ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ බටහිර ප්රාදේශිකය විසින් ක්රියාවට නංවා ඇති වෙරළ පිරිසිඳු කිරීමේ සහ රුක් රෝපණ වැඩසටහන් මාලාවේ තවත් එක් වැඩසටහනක් බේරුවල, පානදුර වෙරළ තීරය ආශ්රිතව 2026 මාර්තු මස 28 වන දින සාර්ථකව පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
තවද, මෙහිදි දිගුකාලීන පාරිසරික තිරසරභාවය දියුණු කිරිමේ අරමුණින් “මූදිල්ලා” ශාක රෝපණය කිරිමද සිදුකරන ලදි.
