Based on intelligence received by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, a special search operation was conducted in Rathmalana area in coordination with the Divisional Crime Detective Bureau, Mt.Lavinia and arrested three (03) persons along with 25 g of Hashish, 06g of Kerala Cannabis and 400 illegal foreign cigarettes today (09th April 2026).
Arrested personnel along with apprehended items were handed over to the Mt.Lavinia Police for further legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ලද බුද්ධි තොරතුකට අනුව ගල්කිස්ස පොලිස් අපරාධ කොට්ඨාස විමර්ශණ ඒකකයේ නිලධාරීන් හා එක්ව අද (2026අප්රේල් මස 09) දින රත්මලාන ප්රදේශයේ සිදුකල විශේෂ ඒකාබද්ධ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදි අලෙවි කිරීම සඳහා සූදානම්කර තිබූ හෂිෂ් මත්ද්රව්ය ග්රෑම් 25ක්, කේරළ ගංජා ග්රෑම් 06ක් සහ නීති විරෝධී විදේශීය දුම්වැටි 400ක් සමඟ සැකකරුවන් තිදෙනෙකු (03) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම මෙහෙයුම් මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද සැකකරුවන්, මත් ද්රව්ය සහ දුම්වැටි තොගය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා ගල්කිස්ස පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දිමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
