The Sri Lanka Coast Guard conducted a search operation at Thouwawa area and arrested a person in possession of 28 packets (10 Liters) of illicit liquor while transporting for sale on 20th April 2026.
The arrested person along with motor bike and illicit liquor were handed over to the Thoduwawa Police Station for onward legal action.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව 2026 මාර්තු මස 20 වන දින තොඩුවාව ප්රදේශයේ සිදු කල සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදී යතුරු පැදියක් තුල අසුරා ප්රවාහනය කරමින් තිබූ නීතිවිරෝධී දේශිය මත්පැන් පැකට් 28 ක් (ලීටර් 10) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට සමත්විය.
මෙලෙස අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරු, මත්පැන් තොගය සහ යතුරු පැදිය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා තොඩුවාව පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
