The Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel in coordination with the officers of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) arrested a woman who was engaged in selling AKUGABALIN-150 capsules during a search operation carried out in Denipitiya, Matara on 27th April 2026.
She was in possession of 765 AKUGABALIN-150 capsules at the time of the arrest.
Arrested suspect along with capsules were handed over to the NMRA office, Matara for legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, ජාතික ඖෂධ නියාමන අධිකාරියේ නියෝජිතයන් හා එක්ව 2026 අප්රේල් මස 27 වන දින මාතර, දෙනිපිටිය ප්රදේශයේ සිදුකල ඒකාබද්ධ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදි වෛද්ය මධ්යස්ථානයක් තුල අලෙවි කිරීම සඳහා සූදානම්කර තිබූ AKUGABALIN – 150 වර්ගයේ මත්පෙති 765ක් සමඟ කාන්තාවක් අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම මෙහෙයුම් මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද සැකකරු සහ මත් පෙති තොගය ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා මාතර ජාතික ඖෂධ නියාමන අධිකාරි කාර්යාලය වෙත භාර දිමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
