Based on intelligence received by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, a special search operation was conducted in the Beruwala area in coordination with officers of the Beruwala Police. During the operation, a suspect was arrested in possession of 100 g of Kerala Cannabis whilst ready for sale on 19th May 2026.
Arrested suspect along with the Kerala Cannabis were handed over to the Beruwala Police station for further legal proceedings.
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ලද බුද්ධි තොරතුකට අනුව බේරුවල පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ නිලධාරීන් හා එක්ව 2026 මැයි මස 19 වන දින බේරුවල ප්රදේශයේ සිදුකල විශේෂ ඒකාබද්ධ සෝදිසි මෙහෙයුමකදි අලෙවි කිරීම සඳහා සූදානම්කර තිබූ කේරළ ගංජා ග්රෑම් 100ක් සමඟ සැකකරුවෙකු (01) අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙම මෙහෙයුම මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා ලද කේරළ ගංජා සහ සැකකරු ඉදිරි නීතිමය කටයුතු සඳහා බේරුවල පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත භාර දිමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
