The Indian Government donated main engine spare parts to support the repair of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship Suraksha at Colombo Harbour today (02nd June 2026).
The Defence Adviser of the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Captain Anand Mukundan, officially handed over the items to the Deputy Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Commodore Prasad Jayasinghe.
Senior officers representing the Coast Guard, as well as the Commanding Officer and officers of the Indian Naval Ship Airavat, were also present on this occasion.
ඉන්දිය ශ්රී ලංකා ද්විපාර්ශවික සබඳතා තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කරමින් ඉන්දීයානු රජය විසින් පරිත්යාග කරන ලද ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක නෞකා සුරක්ෂා නෞකාවේ ප්රධාන යන්ත්ර දෙකෙහි (02) අලුත්වැඩියා කටයුතු සඳහා භාවිතා කිරීමට යෝජිත අමතර කොටස් රැසක් ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙත නිල වශයෙන් භාරදීමේ උත්සවය අද (2026 ජුනි 02) දින කොළඹ වරායේදී, ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඉන්දීය මහකොමසාරිස් කාර්යාලයේ ආරක්ෂක උපදේශක ලෙස කටයුතු කරන කපිතාන් Anand Mukundan මහතාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් සිදු කෙරිණි.
තවද, මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නියෝජනය කරමින් නියෝජ්ය අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් කොමදොරු ප්රසාද් ජයසිංහ ඇතුලු ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරීන් මෙන්ම ඉන්දියානු නාවික හමුදාවට අයත් Indian Naval Ship Airavat නෞකාවේ කපිතාන් වරයා ඇතුලු නිලධාරීන් රැසක් සහභාගී වී සිටියහ.
