SRI LANKA COAST GUARD FLEET UNITS TAKE PART IN TRINCOMALEE NAVAL EXERCISE – 2026
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard fleet units participated in the Trincomalee Naval Exercise – 2026 (TRINEX-26), organized by the Sri Lanka Navy’s Naval Fleet Command from 20th to 24th July off Trincomalee.
Organized annually by the Sri Lanka Navy’s Naval Fleet Command, this year’s TRINEX focused on strengthening interoperability among key stakeholders.
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard Fleet units, SLCGS Jayesgara and Coast Guard Fast Patrol Boat CG 407 took part in the exercise with the aim of enhancing operational readiness to counter maritime security threats and challenges in the maritime domain.
During the exercise, the participating units, successfully carried out a series of operational drills, including; Oil Spill Response, Bridge Emergency Exercise, Replenishment at Sea (RAS), Divisional Tactics (DIVTACs), and Towing Approaches Exercise.
ත්රිකුණාමලය නාවික අභ්යාසය – 2026 සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ සක්රීය දායකත්වය
ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාව විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද ‘ත්රිකුණාමලය නාවික අභ්යාසය – 2026’ (TRINEX-26) සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සක්රීයව දායකවු අතර, එම අභ්යාසය නැගෙනහිර මුහුදේදී 2026 ජූලි මස 22 වන දින සිට 24 වන දින දක්වා සාර්ථකව පැවැත්වීමට ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාව විසින් කටයුතු කෙරුණි.
ඒ අනුව ඉන්දීය සාගර කලාපයේ ආරක්ෂාව වෙනුවෙන් කැපවෙන ප්රමුඛ පාර්ශවකරුවන් ලෙස ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාව සහ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ මෙහෙයුම් කාර්යක්ෂමතාවය ඉහල නැන්විමේ අරමුණින් පවත්වන ලද මෙම අභ්යාසය සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක නෞකා ජයසාගර නෞකාව සහ සීජී 407 වේග මුර යාත්රාව සක්රීයව සහභාගී වූ අතර, මෙම අභ්යාසයේදී මුහුදේ සිදුවන තෙල් විසිරුම් කළමණාකරනය, හදිසි අවස්ථාවකදී ප්රතිචාර දැක්වීම (Bridge emergency), නෞකා අතර, මුහුදේදී භාණ්ඩ හුවමාරුව සඳහා සූදානම් වීම (Replenishment at Sea) සංග්රාමික අවස්ථාවකදී යුධ නෞකා උපායික පෙළ හැඩයන් ඔස්සේ ගමන් කිරීම (Divisional Tacties – DIVTACs) සහ හදිසි අවස්ථාවකදී නෞකා ඇදගෙන යාම සඳහා සූදානම් වීම (Towing Approaches Exercise) ඇතුළු අභ්යාසයන් සාර්ථකව සිදු කරන ලදි.
