SRI LANKA COAST GUARD CONTRIBUTES TO THE NATIONAL DENGUE PREVENTION PROGRAMME
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard carried out dengue prevention and cleaning programme in the Mirissa Fisheries Harbour area on 28th July 2026.
During the programme, a number of activities were carried out, including identifying and eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites, collecting and disposing of discarded items that could accumulate water, and advising local residents and restaurant owners on cleaning blocked drainage systems to prevent mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of dengue transmission.
The programme was conducted with the guidelines of Public Health Inspectors responsible for Weligama area.
ඩෙංගු මර්ධන වැඩසටහන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව අඛණ්ඩව මෙහෙයුම් දියත් කරයි
ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඩෙංගු ව්යාප්තිය වැලැක්විම උදෙසා රජය විසින් ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලද වැඩසටහන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව 2026 ජූලි මස 28 වන දින විදේශීය සංචාරකයන් බහුලව නවාතැන්ගෙන සිටින මිරිස්ස ධීවර වරාය ප්රදේශය ආවරණය වන පරිදි පුළුල් වැඩ සටහනක් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
මෙහිදී ඩෙංගු රෝගය ව්යාප්ත කරන මදුරුවන් බෝවිය හැකි ස්ථාන හඳුනාගෙන විනාශ කිරීම, ජලය එකතු විය හැකි ඉවතලන ද්රව්ය එක්රැස් කර විනාශ කර දැමීම, ප්රදේශයේ අවහිර වී ඇති කාණු පද්ධති පිරිසිඳු කිරීමට ප්රදේශ වාසීන්ට සහ ආපන ශාලා හිමිකරුවන් හට උපදෙස් ලබා දීම ආදී වැඩසටහන් රැසක් ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලදි.
තවද, මෙම වැඩ සටහන වැලිගම ප්රදේශය භාර මහජන සෞඛ්ය පරීක්ෂවරුන් ගේ පූර්ණ අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ සිදු කිරීමට කටයුතු කෙරිණි.
