Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel actively participated in the National Dengue Prevention programme by conducting nationwide environmental clean-up drives in parallel with National Integrity Week on 31 July 2026.
The above-mentioned dengue prevention programmes were carried out by Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel attached to establishments in the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Regions, as well as personnel attached to Coast Guard ships and craft.
The programmes included the identification and elimination of potential mosquito breeding sites within establishments, ships, and craft; the removal and proper disposal of discarded materials capable of collecting stagnant water; and the cleaning and restoration of blocked drainage systems.
ජාතික සුපිලිපන් සතියට සමගාමීව රජය විසින් ප්රකාශයට පත් කරන ලද ජාතික ඩෙංගු මර්ධන දිනය 2026 ජූලි මස 31 වන දිනට යෙදි තිබු අතර, ශ්රි ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට අයත් නෞකා හා යාත්රා මෙන්ම ප්රාදේශිය බල ප්රදේශ ආවරණය වන පරිදි ඩෙංගු මර්ධන වැසටහන් රැසක් එදින ක්රියාවට නැන්වීමට කටයුතු කරන ලදි.
ඒ අනුව, උතුර, නැගෙනහිර, දකුණ සහ බටහිර ප්රාදේශිකයන් සහ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක නෞකාවන්ට අනියුක්ත වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක පුද්ගලයින් විසින් මෙම වැඩසටහන ක්රියත්මක කරන ලදි.
මෙහිදි ආයතන පරිශ්රයන්, නෞකා සහ යාත්රාවන් හි ඩෙංගු රෝගය ව්යාප්ත කරන මදුරුවන් බෝ විය හැකි ස්ථාන හදුනාගෙන විනාශ කිරිම, ජලය එකතු විය හැකි ඉවතලන ද්රව්යය එක් රැස් කර විනාශ කර දැමීම, අවහිර වී ඇති කාණු පද්ධති පිරිසිදු කිරිම ආදි වැඩසටහන් රැසක් ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලදි.
