LIFESAVING TRAINING FOR YOUTH IN BALAPITIYA AREA COMMENCED
With the objective of empowering youth in the Balapitiya area with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in lifesaving Sri Lanka Coast Guard commenced a basic lifesaving course at the Lifesaving Training School (LSTS), Balapitiya, on 20th September 2026.
Further, Coast Guard in coordination with the Balapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha, selected 28 youth from the Balapitiya area for the course. The course is scheduled to conclude on 26th September 2026.
Furthermore, the inauguration ceremony of the course was attended by Mr. Anuruddha Mahaweli, Chairman of the Balapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha, along with several members, as well as officers and instructors from the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Training School (LSTS).
ශ්රී ලංකා වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ මෙහෙයවීමෙන් තරුණයන් සඳහා ජීවිතාරක්ෂක පුහුණුවක් බලපිටියේදී
බලපිටිය ප්රදේශයේ තරුණයන් සඳහා ජීවිතාරක්ෂාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් න්යායාත්මක මෙන්ම ප්රායෝගික පුහුණුවක් ලබා දීමේ අරමුණින් වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ බලපිටිය ප්රාදේශිය සභාව එක්ව සංවිධානය කරන ලද ජීවිතාරක්ෂක පුහුණු වැඩමුළුවක් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මස 20 වන දින බලපිටිය ජීවිතාරක්ෂක පුහුණු පාසලේදී ආරම්භ කෙරිණි.
තවද, යෝග්යතා පරීක්ෂණයකින් අනතුරුව මෙම පුහුණු වැඩමුළුව සඳහා බලපිටිය ප්රදේශයේ තරුණයන් 28 දෙනෙකු තෝරා ගත් අතර, පුහුණු වැඩමුළුව 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මස 26 වන දින අවසන් කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇත.
එමෙන්ම, පුහුණු වැඩමුළුවේ සමාරම්භක උත්සවය සඳහා බලපිටිය ප්රාදේශිය සභාවේ සභාපති අනුරුද්ධ මහවැලි මහතා ඇතුළු ප්රාදේශීය සභා මන්ත්රීවරුන් සහ වෙරළ ආරක්ෂක දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නියෝජනය කරමින් නිලධාරීන් මෙන්ම පුහුණු කරුවන් රැසක් සහභාගී විය.
