The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post - Gopalapuram, Trincomalee saved a local male and a female during a successful rescue attempt on 17th July 2023.
SRI LANKA COAST GUARD APPREHENDED ILLEGALLY HARVESTED SHARK FINS
Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) personnel deployed at Dikovita Fishery Harbour for fishery monitoring and regulating duties arrested six persons possessing illegally harvested dried shark fins on 16th July 2023 during arrival inspections.
COAST GUARD RESCUED ANOTHER TEENAGER FROM DROWNING
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) life savers attached to Mount Lavinia life-saving post saved a 16 years old boy on 15th July 2023 whilst drowning and dragging away by the sea current.
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) life savers attached to Gopalapuram life-saving post, Trincomalee saved two local youths during a successful rescue attempt in the evening of 13th July 2023.
COAST GUARD RESCUED FOUR CIVILIANS WHILST DROWNING IN MT LAVINIA SEAS
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifeguards stationed at the Mt. Lavinia lifesaving post demonstrated their exceptional lifesaving skills by rescuing four local males, aged between 16 to 18 years old, who were drowning while bathing in the sea on 11th July 2023. Swiftly responding to the emergency, the lifeguards successfully retrieved the individuals from the water and provided them with immediate first aid assistance.
