The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Gopalpuram Beach, Trincomalee rescued three males and four females during a successful rescue attempt approximately 1600hrs on 16th August 2021.

Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship Suraksha apprehended consignment of more than 5300 kg of dried turmeric in 143 bags while attempting to be smuggled from India onboard a Indian dhow on 07th August 2021 off Chilaw point.

COAST GUARD APPREHENDED A FISHING VESSEL WITH ILLEGALLY HARVESTED SHARK FINS
Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel deployed at Cod bay Fishery Harbour in Trincomalee for fishery monitoring and regulating duties apprehended Multiday Fishing Vessel along with six fishermen in possession of illegally harvested Shark fins and dried Shark flesh on 29th July 2021.
COAST GUARD RELEASES 108 SEA TURTLES HATCHLINGS TO SEA
Hundred and eight (108) sea turtle hatchlings born out of 137 turtle eggs conserved at Mirissa under SLCG Rohana were released to the sea on 24th July 2021.
INTERNATIONAL TRAINING ASSISTANCE FOR CAPACITY BUILDING -SLCG
Sixteen Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) personnel successfully completed Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) course conducted by the Global Maritime Crime Programme (GMCP) of United Nation Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Advanced Training Center (ATC) at Mirissa, Sri Lanka on 16th July 2021.
