FRENCH NAVAL SHIP VISITS AND PASSEX WITH FNS LOIRE

The French Naval Ship Loire (A 602) was paid the call to the Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka on 10th of March 2022. FNS Loire is an Offshore Support & Assistance Vessel which has her length overall 70.3 meters and breadth 15.8 meters. ‘Loire-Class’ vessels can conduct a wide range of support missions such as rescue/towing, diving and oil spill response.

National 5km Open Water Swimming Championship for 2022 broke the waves in the sea off Coast Guard Life Saving Training School, Balapitiya.

The Annual national 5km Open Water Swimming Championship was conducted on 13th March in association with the Navy and Sri Lanka Coast Guard by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union. National swimming championships of 5km and 10km have been held up for several years due to the health concerns of COVID 19.
