SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF MARITIME SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR PERSONNEL FROM SLCG, SLN, SL POLICE

The Maritime Skills Training programme conducted by the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Programme (ICITAP) which functions under the Department of Justice of the United States with the collaboration of the Embassy of US in Sri Lanka was successfully completed at Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Headquarters, Mirissa from 01^st to 12^th May 2023.

The 19^th Coast Guard personnel stationed at the life-saving post, Mirissa retrieved 202 sea turtles’ eggs from the territory close to their natural habitats on 05^th May 2023.

SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE WORKING LEVEL MEETING AT THE 19TH HEAD OF ASIAN COAST GUARD AGENCIES MEETING (HACGAM)

The 19^th Head of Asian Coast Guards Working Level Meetings (WLMs) took place virtually from 3^rd to 5^th May 2023 in discussing maritime issues in the five areas of Search and Rescue at Sea, Preventing & Controlling Unlawful Acts at Sea, Environment Protection, Capacity Building, and Information Sharing. The virtual meeting was hosted by the Turkiye Coast Guard in cooperation with the Japan Coast Guard.
