COAST GUARD RESCUED AN ITALIAN NATIONAL AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Hikkaduwa rescued an Italian National, during a successful rescue attempt on 30^th August 2022. A 29 years old male from Italy was rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Hikkaduwa beach.

SRI LANKA COAST GUARD ARRESTED FOUR PERSONS WHILST ATTEMPTING TO TRANSFER DIESEL FROM A FISHING VESSEL

Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel deployed at Kalpitiya Fishery Harbour for fishery monitoring and regulating duties arrested/ apprehended four persons along with a Freezer Truck whilst attempting to transfer 420 Liters of Diesel (21 cans) from a fishing vessel berthed inside the Kalpitiya Fishery Harbour on 15^th August 2022.
