SRI LANKA COAST GUARD APPREHENDED TWO FISHING VESSELS WITH ILLEGALLY HARVESTED SHARK FINS
Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel deployed at Dikovita Fishery Harbour for fishery monitoring and regulating duties, apprehended two Multiday Fishing Vessel along with 13 fishermen in possession of illegally harvested 41 numbers of Blue Shark fins on 29th May 2021.

SLT CLWS FONSEKA GRADUATED WITH HONORS IN USCG ACADEMY CLASS 2021
A/ SLt CLWS Fonseka along with 240 local and international cadet officers was graduated at Cadet Memorial Field in the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, USA on Wednesday, 19th May 2021. The HE the President of the United State of America Joseph R. Biden Jr grace the graduation ceremony and delivered the keynote address.
SRI LANKA COAST GUARD THWARTS ANOTHER ILLEGAL MIGRATION ATTEMPT
A special operation conducted by Coast Guard personnel attached to CG Station Chilaw with the assistance of Police Station, Chilaw arrested 30 personnel whilst preparing to migrate illegally to a foreign country by sea at a house at Samindugama, Chilaw on 14th May 2021.

During a joint operation with SLN, Sri Lanka Coast Guard FPB CG 402 recovered a haul of Kerala cannabis weighing over 183kg, in the seas north of Kankesanthurai, Jaffna, on 03rd May 2021.
ELEVEN NEW LIFE SAVING BRONZE MEDALISTS JOIN THE SRI LANKA COAST GUARD
Eleven Life Saving Bronze Medalists trained by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Training School Balapitiya were qualified as International Lifesaver Federation Surf Life Guard Bronze Medalists on 22nd April 2021.
The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts, Pasikuda saved a 12 years old boy a resident of Moratuwa during a successful rescue attempt on 17th April 2021.
